RE

We follow the Northamptonshire Syllabus for Religious Education: 'Growing Together' and we also incorporate 'Understanding Christianity.'

Phonics

In Reception & Key Stage 1 we use Little Wandle which is the revised Letters and Sounds systematic, synthetic phonics programme. This  phonics resource is used to build children's speaking and listening skills.

The Curriculum is topic based. History, Geography, Science, Music, Art and Design Technology are taught through the topics on a 2 year cycle. Computing is taught on a one-year cycle and the children are taught about e-safety every term.  Computing is also Incorporated into other areas of the curriculum.   French is taught in years 3-6 using the Catherine Cheater scheme.

The broad and balanced curriculum is designed to prepare children for life in modern Britain and spiritual, moral, social and cultural development through enrichment activities.
